The Sixteen on BBC4 TV's 'Sacred Music'

Friday, 28 March 2008

The Sixteen is featured in a new four-part series "Sacred Music" on BBC Four this season exploring the history of Western sacred music, presented by Simon Russell Beale.

In the company of The Sixteen and Harry Christophers, Russell Beale travels from London to France, Italy and Germany to discover the places and people that made sacred music history. Along the way The Sixteen perform on location, singing music by Léonin, Pérotin, Palestrina, Tallis, Byrd, and JS Bach. To round off this choral tour, BBC Four will broadcast a concert given by The Sixteen at LSO St Luke's in London, in the spring.
