Today on ARTE at 22:30 there is a documentary on the extraordinary musical dynasty that is the Wallfisch family.
Starting with the incredible life of cellist Anita Lasker-Wallfisch, who survived Auschwitz by playing in the camp's orchestra, the documentary goes on to discover the musical heritage of her son Raphael the esteemed cellist, his wife Elizabeth, a specialist in Baroque and Classical violin, and their children Benjamin (conductor), Jo (jazz singer) and Simon (tenor).
