NEWSFLASH: The New Yorker lists Stile Antico's CD as one of its Top Ten of 2008

Friday, 12 December 2008

Influential American cultural magazine The New Yorker has just announced Stile Antico's most recent CD as one of its Ten Best Classical Recordings of 2008.

Heavenly Harmonies, released in spring 2008 on Harmonia Mundi and featuring the vocal music of William Byrd and Thomas Tallis, has received critical acclaim similar to that of its predecessor, Stile Antico's debut recording Music for Compline, which was nominated for a GRAMMY award in 2007.

The British vocal ensemble has seen a meteoric rise in recognition and success in the last few years, and is surely now firmly established as "...the brightest new stars in the firmament of Renaissance vocal ensembles" (The Telegraph, 2008)
