Schlimé to debut at Carnegie Hall

Francesco Tristano Schlimé will make his debut appearance on February 1st 2008 at Carnegie Hall, New York, under the 'ECHO Rising Stars' series. His highly original programme includes works by Berio, Frescobaldi, Haydn, Messina and Bach, as well as his own improvisations.

An acclaimed interpreter of modern music, Francesco was First Prize winner of the 2004 Orléans International Piano Competition for 20th Century Music. He has since performed with many leading orchestras (Russian National Orchestra, Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestre Symphonique d'Orléans, Chamber Orchestra of Wroclaw, Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, the New Juilliard Ensemble in New York), and at some of the world's most respected concert halls (Barcelona Palau de la Musique, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Stockholm Konserthuset, Paris Cité de la Musique, Köln Philharmonie).
