Stile Antico - latest review from The Times
Tuesday, 5 June 2007
"Stile Antico are not only talented but have fresh ideas about how 16th-century sacred music should be presented" - writes Richard Morrison in his review in today's Times of Stile Antico's concert at St Stephen's Gloucester Road, London, last week. "...wonderfully clear lines, excellent intonation and diction, intelligent dynamics" are just some of the reviewer's comments; "they don't have a conductor, and that changes everything...their interpretations are done with the conviction and unanimity that comes when an ensemble arrives at its own conclusions, rather than merely bowing to a maestro's whims."
